Minimum Parking Regulations

As I mentioned in the Zoning section, the average restaurant is required to "purchase three times more land for parking than it is for the restaurant itself."

Here's another bit about parking requirements in non-commercial properties, like homes and apartment complexes:

The study ends up finding that at least half of all non-commercial properties have more parking than they would otherwise choose, and that the excess can oftentimes be quite large.
