The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office is on track to confiscate about 5,900 bags of heroin this year, the most since at least 2009. With the arrest of King, Wilmington police seizures hit a peak 13,318 bags in 2010. As of mid-September 2011, officers had taken in 3,390 bags, much less than last year but more than three times what was netted in all of 2009.
