Ron Sparks: Do as I Say, Not as I Do

Wilmington is paying to demolish a building. I don't exactly get it, but here's a quote from the story:

"We've got to get it out of the way of the convention center," Councilwoman Laura Padgett said during the council's regular meeting Tuesday.

The council unanimously voted to tear down the 2,000-square-foot building at 1 Hanover St.

Ooook, apparently there's some dissention on the council even though they all voted for it.

Councilman Ronald Sparks said although he agrees the warehouse needs to come down, he feels like the city is being taken advantage of by a company that ran out of money.

"I just think we're getting abused," he said.

Well, good thing you're helping pay for that abuse, Ron.
